Sample itinerary for Christian tours

(Monday) – Arrival

Arrive at Ben-Gurion airport. After meeting our guide, we will drive to our hotel in Tel Aviv. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.

(Tuesday) – Tel Aviv, Jaffa

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the ancient port of Jaffa. Continue to Independence Hall. Drive along the coastal road to the Crusader port city of Caesarea and the Roman capital of ancient Israel. Continue to Haifa.  Arrive at  Haifa for dinner and overnight.

 (Wednesday) – Acre, Tzfat, Tiberias

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Continue North to Tzfat (Safed), the hub of Jewish spirituality and Kabbalah. Visit the synagogues and the artists’ colony. Continue to the Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

May 28 (Thursday) – Sea of Galilee

After breakfast at the hotel, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We will continue for a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus proclaimed his Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha and visit the traditional site of the Multiplication Miracle of Loaves and Fish, as well as the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter. We will then drive to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ Ministries. See the remains of the ancient Synagogue and the house of Peter. Visit Nazareth Village, which re-enacts village life. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

May 29 (Friday) – Tiberias to Jerusalem

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the day witha short dip in the Sea of Galilie  Home. Continue to Jerusalem and arrive at the Mount of Olives to marvel at the spectacular view of the Holy City. Continue to Mt. Zion, just outside the City Walls, to view the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Arrive at the Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

 (Saturday) – Jerusalem Old City

After breakfast at the hotel, enter the Old City of Jerusalem and walk via the rebuilt Jewish Quarter and the Roman Cardo to the Western Wall (or Wailing Wall). Walk a part of the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In the afternoon, we will visit the Garden Tomb. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

 (Sunday) – Jerusalem

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a visit to the City of David. Continue to the Bible Lands Museum, and then onto the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed and to see the model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

 (Monday) – Jerusalem to the South and Dead Sea

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit  ‘Megan David Adom’ Command & Control Centre (subject to approval). This impressive high tech facility is the foundation for all MDA communications and dispatches throughout Israel. It serves as a backup for all the MDA regional stations, provides an extra level of integrated communication with the IDF and other emergency services, serves as a 24/7 resource for staff and volunteers in the field with a dedicated hotline, oversees MDA’s network of first responders, and keeps tabs on all the activities of all ambulances, in all the regions, 24/7/365. We will then depart Jerusalem for the South. Drive through Beersheva, and then continue to the Fountain of Tears (Rick Wienecke) in Arad. Arrive to your hotel for free time to enjoy floating in the Dead Sea and the facilities of the hotel (spa treatments at extra cost). finish off with  dinner and overnight.

(Tuesday) – Qumran, Massadah

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found.  Then travel up to Massah for a cable-car ride up the legendary fort which served as a monstary, as well as symbol for Jewish Freedom.

(Wednesday) – Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Ben Gurion airport for departure.
